Painted Faces
Men and women are the same wherever you go
This one great truth I’ve definitely come to know
Though different in color, class, creed and races
Yet, they all have the same custom of painting their faces
You don’t know from one day to the next
If they’ll be kind and cordial or if they’ll be totally vexed
It’s hard to tell what color will show up on the scenev
Orange, blue, yellow, gray or green
When orange, they are happy and shine like a sun ray
When blue, they are sad and are having a bad day
When yellow, they are fearful and can easily be held at bay
When gray, they are unsure and don’t have much to say
And when green, they are disturbed because things are going
Someone else’s way
Yes, people are all the same, this I found to be true
But if you don’t mind me asking-----today what color are you?
