About The Author

Duncan Langley Wood, born in 1953, graduated from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He is an outstanding player of a number of different styles on acoustic, classical and electric guitars.

Teaching, performing and songwriting are his passions. Wood has taught many thousands of students with great success over the years using the unique methods he has developed and that are contained in The Perfect Guitarist.

The author currently lives in Chesapeake, VA., where he co-owns a music store and learning center called DnD Music, while continuing to teach and perform with The Duncan & Danielle Band.Wood is now writing The Perfect Guitarist Workbook, which will contain exercises and examples in a structured format that will be extremely useful to both teachers and students.
