PUBLISHING YOUR BOOK

Book Publishing

When your book is ready to go to print, we will add the following items which will protect and identify your work to the world.

ISBN

The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a 10-digit number that uniquely identifies books and book-like products published internationally.
The purpose of the ISBN is to establish and identify one title or edition of a title from one specific publisher and is unique to that edition. Once assigned, an ISBN can never be reused. An ISBN is printed on the lower portion of the back cover of a book above the bar code and on the copyright page.

Copyright

Copyright is a form of protection provided by federal law to the authors of “original works of authorship.” A Copyright protects your work from others, establishing it as yours and yours alone.
Your Copyright page contains:
• Publisher’s name, address, website and logo.
• Any disclaimers and/or warnings about usage
• Author(s)’s name(s)
• Copyright 200_ [author’s name]
• Acknowledgment of editors and cover designer(s).
• Edition Number

Author Information

A short author’s biography is very important and is placed either on the back cover, inside flap or at the end of your manuscript, depending on type of cover you desire.
